GOLF.GARA.Figueiredo embracing challenge of home open

The man from Portugal, currently 13th in the season-long Rankings, is a Lisbon resident, so will be commuting from home as he looks to win the country’s national open for the first time.

Figueiredo says he is looking forward to the rare pleasure of sleeping in his own bed whilst competing this week.

“It’s always special to play at home,” he said. “This week I can sleep in my own bed which is very different from a normal week. Hopefully I’ll have a lot of family and friends coming so definitely a special week for me because of that and also because it’s one of the last events of the year. I’m in a good position in the Rankings so it’s also important for that.”

GOLF.GARA. TK says ‘Asian Tour means a whole world to me’ ahead of pro debut

This week’s Yeangder TPC will witness one of the most highly anticipated events in Asian golf when Thailand’s Ratchanon Chantananuwat, better known as ‘TK’, makes his debut as a professional.

Four years after setting a world record by winning the Asian Tour’s Trust Golf Asian Mixed Cup as a 15-year-old amateur, the Thai wonderkid will finally play for pay when he tees-off on Thursday at Linkou International Golf & Country Club.

GOLF.GARA. Ciganda Clinches the Cup Once More for Europe at the 2026 Solheim Cup

CROMVOIRT, Netherlands – For the second time in three Solheim Cup meetings it was Carlota Ciganda of Team Europe who secured the cinching point to put the Solheim Cup in the hands of the Europeans.

Ciganda faced America’s Jennifer Kupcho in the 11th match out in the Sunday Singles matches and never trailed over the course of the day. Ciganda closed out Kupcho 4&2 just a day after Kupcho drained 122 feet worth of putts to defeat Ciganda in the Four-Ball session and tie the Europeans heading into the final session.

GOLF.GARA. Yeangder TPC – Tournament Notes

This week marks the 15th edition of the Yeangder TPC, which has always been played at Linkou International Golf & Country Club.

The tournament is the ideal way to restart after the Asian Tour’s mid-year break as it has been one of the Tour’s anchor events for the past two decades – played in one of our key destinations.

It is also always a pleasure to be in the company of the Yeangder Group’s Emmet and Byrant Hsu – who play a tremendous role in pushing the game forward in their country.

Kazu Higa’s victory in the Yeangder TPC last year was significant in many ways that point to the importance of this week’s popular event. Not only did his win put him on course to claim the Asian Tour Order of Merit but Yeangder is also one of his sponsors.
