Filippo Celli, con un ottimo giro finale in 66 (-6) colpi, parziale più basso di giornata, e lo score di 276 (67 70 73 66, -12), si è classificato al secondo posto, sua miglior prestazione sul DP World Tour, nel Danish Golf Championship, giunto alla 12ª edizione e vinto dal giocatore di casa Jeff Winther con 273 (71 67 68 67, -15).

Sul percorso del Great Northern (par 72), a Kerteminde in Danimarca, l’azzurro è stato affiancato dal finlandese Oliver Lindell, dall’inglese Matthew Jordan, dal cinese Yanhan Zhou e dal danese Rasmus Hojgaard. In settima posizione con 277 (-11) l’altro danese Marcus Helligkilde e il francese Romain Langasque, leader dopo tre turni, in nona con 278 (-10) il tedesco Freddy Schott, lo svizzero Joel Girrbach, lo scozzese Ewen Ferguson e ancora un danese, Jacob Skov Olesen. Non hanno reso come ci si attendeva gli statunitensi Bubba Watson (due major) e Caleb Surratt, 13.i con 279 (-9), entrambi membri della LIV Golf.

Tra le proette italiane in campo nel Buccellati ladies Italian Open, c’è grande attesa per Anna Zanusso, che al suo secondo anno sul tour europeo ha già collezionato vari piazzamenti in top 5 e una partecipazione al major AIG Women’s Open. La 26enne di Castelfranco Veneto – cresciuta al Golf Ca’ Amata e ora portacolori del Golf Asiago – dopo la laurea all’università di Denver e l’esperienza nei tornei dei college, punta in alto, ma senza vivere la ricerca della vittoria come un’ossessione”.

Spaniard Moscatel and Englishman Enefer both signed for eight under par rounds of 64, with South African duo Bryce Easton and Justin Harding one shot adrift on seven under.

Starting on the first, Moscatel quickly moved under par thanks to four birdies inside his opening five holes. The 28-year-old would pick up two more shots, on seven and eight, to move to six under as he made the turn.

After opening the back nine with three consecutive pars, Moscatel dropped his only shot of the day on 13. The Spaniard, however, responded strongly, picking up three shots in his final five holes to cap a fine day’s work.

“I’m really pleased,” he said.

South African Albertse, who headed into moving day with a two-stroke advantage, remains at 12 under par following a level-par 70, whilst Harding posted a three under third round of 69 to join his compatriot on the same number.

Harding, who was three strokes adrift heading into the weekend, birdied all four par fives at Killeen Castle and dropped just one shot to set the clubhouse target.

“I played pretty well today,” he said.

“I kept it in play off the tee and gave myself a lot of chances. I’m still waiting for a day like Thursday where you pour them in and the lines jump out at you. I’m happy where I’m at.”

The 25-year-old lifted the Made in Himmerland trophy in 2023 and sits five shots adrift of third-round leader Romain Langasque at nine under par.

Højgaard mixed a double bogey and a dropped shot with three birdies before finishing his round in style by eagling the 16th for second day in succession to card a two-under 70 and a share of seventh.

“It started a bit rough. The first nine holes wasn’t how I wanted it to be,” Højgaard said after reaching the turn with a two-over 38.
