Major champion Louis Oosthuizen [main picture] has confirmed he will return to the Link Hong Kong Open this year – when the 65th edition of the tournament takes place from 22-25 October at the Hong Kong Golf Club.

It will mark his third appearance in the event, having impressively finished third last year, while he first competed in the prestigious event in 2008

In a career spanning a quarter of a decade, Oosthuizen won the Open Championship in 2010 and has been a runner-up in the other Majors. With 16 tour titles to his name, he reached his highest world ranking of fourth in 2013.

The 43-year-old said: “I am excited to return to play in Hong Kong this year. I have always enjoyed my time in the city, and in the last few years, I have gotten to compete on this beautiful course more regularly. You can get a bit tired mentally by the end of the season, but Hong Kong is a place that can perk you up with its amazing food and hospitality so I always look forward to this stop on my schedule.”

The Epson Tour heads to Prattville, Alabama, for the 2026 Guardian Championship, set for September 11-13 at the Senator Course at Capitol Hill on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. The tournament, hosted by Guardian Credit Union, has been part of the Tour’s schedule since 2017 and features 120 professional golfers from nearly 30 countries.

The leaderboard was upended in the third round of the 2026 Guardian Championship, as Carla Bernat Escuder and Kate Smith-Stroh each caught fire to leapfrog overnight leader Kaleiya Romero before darkness suspended play for the third consecutive day. Bernat Escuder, who entered the day tied for fifth, raced to 6-under through nine holes to take the outright lead at 14-under overall. Smith-Stroh matched her with a 7-under start of her own — the best score of the day — to sit one shot back at 13-under, tied with Romero.

Lucie Malchirand claimed a commanding wire-to-wire victory at the Hauts de France Open to win her first title on the LET Access Series (LETAS).

The Frenchwoman, 24, shot a final round 68 to finish on 13-under overall and five shots clear of Switzerland’s Natalie Armbruester (70) who was playing alongside her in the final flight.

Durban (KwaZulu-Natal) – Graham van der Merwe will take a one-stroke lead into Friday’s final round of the Sunbet Challenge hosted by Sun Sibaya at Mount Edgecombe but is well aware of the chasing pack as he looks to claim a maiden Sunshine Tour title.

Van Der Merwe signed for a 67 at The Woods on Thursday to lead the field on 10 under par. Just one shot behind him are both Nikhil Rama and Pieter Moolman, and two shots back are local favourite Jonathan Broomhead as well as the leading two players on the Courier Guy Order of Merit – Samuel Simpson and Austin Bautista.

The current Courier Guy Order of Merit leader closed with a final round of 65 to win on 13 under par, one shot clear of Graham van der Merwe, Rowan Lester and Pieter Moolman.
