The stage has been set for tomorrow’s crucial and high-stakes final round of the Asian Tour Qualifying School – with India’s Shaurya Bhattacharya head of the class at the moment.
He carded a five-under-par 66 on the A&B course at Lake View Resort & Golf Club today to move to 16-under for a one-shot lead, in the ideal position to take one of the 35 cards on the line for next year’s season.
Japan’s Tomohiro Ishizaka, the overnight leader, is in second also following a 66, with Roberto Lebrija from Mexico one shot back in third. He carded a 68. Both were also on A&B.
Bhattacharya made six birdies and dropped the one shot in a confident round. He is looking to secure his Asian Tour card for the first time, having only played in a handful of events over the past few seasons.

Roberta Liti si è classificata nona con 279 (73 70 67 69 -11) nel Lalla Aicha Q School Final Stage e ha conquistato la ‘carta’ a tempo pieno per il Ladies European Tour 2026. Il torneo, che è stato ridotto da 90 a 72 buche per il maltempo, si è svolto a Marrakech, in Marocco, dove le concorrenti si sono alternate sui due percorsi dell’Al Maaden Golf (par 73) e del Royal Golf (par 72).
Con la Liti saranno sul circuito maggiore femminile europeo, in categoria 12, le altre 19 partecipanti che sono terminate entro la ventesima piazza, mentre la dilettante Matilde Partele, 19enne padovana tesserata per l’Asolo Golf Club, 24ª con 282 (71 70 72 69, -8), ha ottenuto la ‘carta’ categoria 16, che offre meno possibilità di giocare, riservata alle giocatrici tra il 21° e il 50° posto in graduatoria.
