DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Oct. 5, 2026) – The LPGA Tour today announced a new home for the LOTTE Championship. The event will be held March 15–21, 2027, at Kapalua Resort in Maui and feature a $3 million purse. The tournament’s first appearance was at Ko Olina Golf Club in 2012 before moving to Hoakalei Country Club in 2022. Next year’s event will mark the 15th edition of the LOTTE Championship, marking it as one of the Tour’s most established tournaments.

It was really close for a really long time Sunday at the LOTTE Championship presented by Hoakalei for Ina Yoon – but in the end one of the game’s best players was just too much.

Jeeno Thitikul topped Yoon by three shots to win for her fourth time this season after shooting a 4-under 68 and staging a late rally. But Yoon was right there all day, even sharing the lead with Thitikul at one point. Yoon settled for her second runner-up finish of the season, after recording the same result at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in June.

Reigning Asian Tour Order of Merit champion Kazuki Higa [main picture] from Japan and Wang Wei-hsuan from Chinese-Taipei took the first-round lead today at the Asian Games in Japan – on a day when Asian Tour members exceled.

They shot five-under-par 65s on the East Course at Kasugai Country Club, in the 20th edition of the quadrennial event, which is being held mainly in Aichi Prefecture and its capital city, Nagoya.

Korean Mun Doyeob and China’s Sampson Zheng, also both Asian Tour members, finished the day in a tie for third following 66s. They were joined by India’s Saptak Talwar and Keita Nakajima from Japan.

Tom Kim from Korea, the 2020-2022 Asian Tour Order of Merit champion, carded a 67 and is next best placed with Ding Wenyi from China.
