Erika Hara continued her breakout rookie season Friday, carding a 6-under-par 66 in the second round of The Standard Portland Classic to move into a share of third place at Columbia Edgewater Country Club.

The 27-year-old from Japan, who started the day at 3-under 69, posted a low round among contenders to reach 9-under 135 through 36 holes, though positions remain unofficial with the second wave still on the course.

With the Smoky Mountain Championship presented by Food City complete, Epson Tour athletes travel west to Pendleton, Oregon, for the fifth edition of the Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic, set for August 21-23 at Wildhorse Golf Course. Rookie Mirabel Ting claimed her first Epson Tour title in a playoff over Rachel Kuehn at the inaugural Smoky Mountain Championship, with Anne Chen and Lauren Olivares also finishing inside the top four. At Wildhorse, defending champion Erika Hara will not return, having graduated to the LPGA Tour as part of the 2025 Race for the Card’s class of 15 graduates.
