GOLF.GARA. Philippine President’s Trophy to raise curtain on Asian Tour’s new season

For the second year in succession the Philippines will enjoy the distinction of hosting the opening event of the season on the Asian Tour when he it stages the Philippine President’s Trophy next month.

The inaugural event will be played on the famously treacherous East Course at Wack Wack Golf & Country Club [main picture], in Manila – from 5-8 February.

Offering a total prize purse of US$500,000, the event underscores the growing partnership between the National Golf Association of the Philippines (NGAP) – the sport’s governing body in the country – and the Asian Tour.

La stagione dell’Asian Development Tour (ADT) inizierà alla grande, e in un contesto familiare, nel 2026, con il PKNS Selangor Masters del mese prossimo.

L’importante evento, che 12 mesi fa ha inaugurato il nuovo anno anche nel circuito di lancio dell’Asian Tour, si svolgerà al Seri Selangor Golf Club, a Petaling Jaya, in Malesia, dall’11 al 14 febbraio.

Il DP World Tour, con il Dubai Invitational, riparte dagli Emirati Arabi e lo fa nel ricordo del giovane golfista italiano Emanuele Galeppini e di tutte le vittime della tragedia di Crans-Montana. Il sesto evento stagionale del circuito europeo – iniziato con anticipo sull’anno solare – si giocherà dal 15 al 18 gennaio al Dubai Creek Resort, il circolo nel quale il 29 marzo del 2025 Emanuele Galeppini vinse l’Omega Dubai Creek Amateur Open, segnalandosi come uno dei talenti emergenti del panorama golfistico internazionale.
