La francese Louise Uma Landgraf ha vinto per il secondo anno consecutivo il Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championship, giunto alla 96ª edizione e disputato sul percorso del Penina Hotel&Golf Resort (par 73), a Portimao in Portogallo. Con 273 (68 68 70 67, -19) ha superato di un colpo la finlandese June Weckman e la ceca Anna Ludvová, alle sue spalle con 274 (-18), e di tre l’inglese Charlotte Naughton, quarta con 276 (-16).
Con una bella e tonica prova si è classificata al quinto posto con 279 (68 71 67 73, -13) l’azzurra Noa Zocco (Asolo), stesso score anche della statunitense Scarlett Schremmer e della spagnola Angela Revuelta. In ottava posizione con 280 (-12) l’altra iberica Amanda Revuelta e in nona con 282 (-10) la francese Alice Kong. Delle altre azzurre, Guia Vittoria Acutis (Villa Condulmer) è terminata 25ª con 291 (70 74 73 74, -1) e Gemma Simeoni (Madonna di Campiglio) 39ª con 297 (72 75 70 80, +5).

BELA BELA, Limpopo – It’s the start of something big in the bushveld this week. Bigger than the elephants that usually form part of the SDC Open prize giving at the Zebula Golf Estate & Spa. Big in the sense of the opportunities that accompany this first week of six vital weeks on the Sunshine Tour.
The SDC Open starts a run of four tournaments co-sanctioned with the HotelPlanner Tour, and this is followed by two tournaments co-sanctioned with the DP World Tour.
The four HotelPlanner Tour events – the SDC Open, the CIRCA Cape Town Open, the NTT Data Pro-Am and the Jonsson Workwear Durban Open – tee off the Road to Mallorca and the chance to graduate to the DP World Tour at the end of the season, which several South African golfers have already benefitted from. Last year JC Ritchie became the first South African golfer in history to finish top of the Road to Mallorca Rankings.

GOLF.GARA. Skogen and Giboudot lead tight battle for SDC Open trophy
BELA BELA, Limpopo – Il norvegese Baard Skogen e il francese Maxence Giboudot affronteranno l’ultimo round dell’SDC Open in parità con 15 sotto il par dopo un emozionante terzo round con punteggi bassi allo Zebula Golf Estate & Spa sabato.
Skogen ha firmato un 64 per raggiungere la vetta della classifica, e Giboudot ha fatto birdie all’ultimo giro per un 68 che lo ha raggiunto.
“Sono al settimo cielo. Ho fatto dei putt lunghi e non potrei essere più contento”, ha detto Skogen, che lo scorso anno si è classificato quinto in questo torneo.
La chiave del suo giro di sabato è stata un putting incredibile, soprattutto per i suoi due eagle alla buca 15 e 18 .
“Ho fatto un bel colpo alla buca 15, sono rimasto appena prima della cresta e sono stato fortunato con il putt. Alla buca 18, quel putt aveva una certa velocità ma è andato in buca, quindi sono stato fortunato”, ha detto.
Il suo round di otto sotto è stato migliore di quanto avesse detto al suo amico che gli sarebbe servito per rientrare in questo torneo.
