Lauren Coughlin Goes Wire-to-Wire in Las Vegas
Lauren Coughlin cruised to her third LPGA Tour victory Sunday at Shadow Creek, posting a 7-under 281 to win the Aramco Championship by five shots.
Coughlin shot rounds of 67-69-73-72 to finish comfortably ahead of 16-time LPGA Tour winner Nelly Korda and Ireland’s Leona Maguire. With the win, the 33-year-old now has 17 career top-10 finishes and surpassed the $4.5 million mark in official career earnings.
The American, who earned a spot on the 2024 U.S. Solheim Cup team, moved into the fifth automatic qualifying spot in the U.S. Team rankings after her victory; she entered the week in eighth.

Nelly Korda and Leona Maguire Tie for Second at Aramco Championship
Nelly Korda and Leona Maguire finished five shots behind Lauren Coughlin in a share of second place at 2-under-par.
Korda, the No. 2 player in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, played alongside eventual winner Coughlin but could not mount a challenge on the final day, recording a final-round 75. This is the third consecutive event on the LPGA Tour she has finished as runner-up, including the Fortinet Founders Cup, Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass and the Aramco Championship.
The last player to finish as runner-up in three consecutive weeks was Lorena Ochoa in 2006 (Ginn Clubs & Resorts Open, Franklin American Mortgage Championship and Michelob Ultra Open from April 30 to May 14, 2006).
Leona Maguire shot a final-round 71 on Sunday, which included five birdies and four bogeys to record her best finish since the 2024 T-Mobile Match Play at Shadow Creek, where she lost the final match to Korda.

Shadow Creek a Tough Test Last Week
Shadow Creek proved to be a true test last week at the Aramco Championship. Ultimately, it was Lauren Coughlin who tamed the course for her third LPGA Tour victory. Coughlin finished with a four-day total of 281 (7-under par), but Ruoning Yin carded the round of the day Sunday, finishing with a 5-under 67.
Only four athletes recorded a 67 at Shadow Creek this week. Coughlin, Nasa Hataoka and Miyu Yamashita each opened the tournament with a 5-under par. Yin was the only player to record a 67 in a round other than the first, finishing the week in a tie for seventh with Nanna Koerstz Madsen. This was the People’s Republic of China native’s sixth made cut in as many starts and her first top-10 finish of the season.
