• ROADIAN GTX SUV tire adds new 20-inch size for hybrid models

NEXEN TIRE, a leading global tire manufacturer, announced that it will supply its ROADIAN GTX as an original equipment (OE) tire for the hybrid model of Kia’s mid-size SUV, the Sorento, following the vehicle’s 2027 model-year update.

The updated model now features a new 20-inch ROADIAN GTX lineup. Along with the existing 17-inch size, both sizes will be available on the Sorento Hybrid — the 17-inch for vehicles sold in Korea and North America, and the 20-inch for those sold in Korea.

The ROADIAN GTX is a tire developed specifically for SUVs. It delivers strong braking performance and long tread life, while maintaining a balance of quiet operation and ride comfort. A specially formulated compound provides consistent performance across a wide range of temperatures, supporting reliable braking and a comfortable ride. Its zigzag pattern design distributes ground pressure evenly and minimizes vehicle pull while driving.

Its enhanced mileage performance extends replacement intervals, meeting the durability and efficiency requirements of hybrid SUVs. The ROADIAN GTX has demonstrated its product excellence through OE fitments on major global SUV models, including the Kia EV5 and EV6, the Renault Filante, and the Jeep Cherokee.

Building on this expanded supply, NEXEN TIRE plans to further strengthen its partnerships with global automakers across the Korean and North American markets. The company continues to expand its OE supply worldwide, drawing on technology proven through its OE supply to leading premium automakers in Europe.
