Moving day delivered plenty of excitement at the IOA Golf Classic, the second event of the 2026 Epson Tour season, held at the challenging Alaqua Country Club in Longwood, Florida. The 120-player field was cut to the top 60 and ties, setting the stage for a thrilling final round as the next champion of the year is decided on Sunday.
Tied atop the leaderboard are three standout performers: Jeongeun Lee6, Haylee Harford Sanchez, and Liqi Zeng all at -7 after 36 holes.
Jeongeun Lee6, the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open champion and an accomplished LPGA Tour veteran, carded a steady 3-under 68 in Round 2.
The Republic of Korea star made her first cut of the Epson Tour season this year, rolling in six birdies, including three straight early in her round, to climb into contention. Lee6, known for her major-winning experience, has been making adjustments to her swing this week after a tougher outing last week.
“I’m satisfied with my result today,” Lee6 said. “I played well yesterday, and then I focused on just what I have to do today. I didn’t play well last week, so I changed my swing a little bit this week, and it’s working.”
Lee6 plans to lean on her proven process in the final round: “Final round, I want to focus on this process, just one shot at a time.”
Sharing the lead is Haylee Harford Sanchez, who took full advantage of calmer morning conditions to fire a 5-under 66. The 29-year-old newlywed stayed patient on the narrow, water-lined layout, hitting precise tee shots and capitalizing with strong putting, highlighted by birdies on 12-13 and back-to-back on 16-17.
“Kind of everything,” Sanchez reflected. “I just stayed patient and took it one shot at a time. It’s a narrow golf course, so just really focused on my targets off the tee and got really precise with that… hit some shots close, and made some longer putts, which was nice.”
Liqi Zeng surged to the top of the leaderboard with the day’s standout solo performance in the afternoon wave. The People’s Republic of China native carded a sharp 4-under-par 67, vaulting her into a share of the lead after round two alongside Haylee Harford Sanchez and Jeongeun Lee6.
“My putter was really working well today,” Zeng said. “This week and last week, I’ve avoided any three-putts, which feels great. I even made a couple of really long, crazy ones back-to-back.”
Zeng built momentum early, draining three birdies on the front nine to make the turn in 3-under 33. Her round’s defining moment came on the par-4 sixth, where she rolled in a remarkable 40-foot par save to keep her momentum rolling.
Juliana Hung wasted no time this morning opening her round with five birdies on her opening nine to round the turn with a 31. The Chinese Taipei native continued her momentum with birdies on holes one and three, but gave those shots right back with back-to-back bogeys on holes four and five. Hung finished the day at 5-under and sits in a tie for fourth with five other athletes.
Other notables include Julia Gregg, who opened her day on the back side, draining back-to-back birdies on holes 13 and 14. The University of Arkansas alumna started her final nine holes with a bang, finding birdies on holes one and three, but she happened to squeeze her second bogey of the week in between them on the par-3 No.2.
Amateur Brooke Biermann is sitting in a tie for ninth, but has quietly climbed the leaderboard. The Michigan State University alumna has found one eagle and ten birdies over the course of her first 36 holes. The 2026 Epson Tour rookie looks ahead to another solid round of golf after making her first post-college cut on the Epson Tour.
The leaderboard remains packed, with several players at 5-under tied in the top 10, promising a dramatic Sunday chase for the title, $200,000 purse, and crucial Race to the Card points toward LPGA dreams.
Zeng, Harford Sanchez, and Lee6 will each look to take the victory on Sunday when round three begins at 8:00 a.m. local time with a split tee format due to the projected weather forecast. Follow along with live scoring
