Aravell, June 28th, 2025 – Jerry Ji of the Netherlands secured his first professional victory at the 2025 Aravell Golf Andorra Open by Creand, finishing with a total score of 14-under-par. Just three strokes behind, a three-way tie for second place at 11-under-par featured Spain’s Ruben Pardo Rodríguez and Javier Calles Roman, along with Ireland’s Ronan Mullarney. One shot further back, England’s Mason Essam and Spain’s Javier Sainz shared 5th place at 10-under-par, rounding out a tightly contested leaderboard.
This year marks the 4th edition of the tournament, originally created to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Aravell Golf Andorra & Country Club, the host venue designed by two-time Masters Champion Jose Maria Olazábal.

Turning professional in January 2025, Ji quickly made his mark on the Tour with various good finishes. His best result this season before this week was a tie for third place at the 2025 Lacanau Alps Open. With today’s win, he made a significant move in the Order of Merit standings; ahead of this week’s event, he was in 26th position and now finds himself in 10th place. Ji surged into a share of the lead after the second round and closed out the tournament with an impressive final round of 5-under-par 66 to finish with a three-day total of 14-under-par. His final round included seven birdies, on holes 3, 4, 7, 10, 14, 17, and 18—offsetting two early bogeys on holes 1 and 8. The two birdies on the final two holes proved decisive, sealing a well-earned victory in a tightly contested finish. Reflecting on the win, Ji said, “It’s amazing. To win any tournament is special, but to win my first tournament and have it be an Alps Tour event is such a cool experience. This win is for my entire family; they have been with me through the good and the bad times, so it’s definitely for them.” He continued, “Today I played my own game. A lot of good players were making a move, and it was tough, but I was lucky to make some clutch putts, especially on the back nine, and was able to remain in the lead.” Ji credited his solid play throughout the week, explaining, “Everything tee to green was very solid. Maybe what made the difference was my putting—I made a few more putts than usual.” Looking ahead, he said, “I’m excited to enjoy this win today. It’s been a lot of hard work, so I’m ready to enjoy it, but from tomorrow my focus shifts to the next tournament. It’s a new venue for me; I’ve never been there, so I’m excited to have a few good practice rounds and be ready to compete again next week.” Ji concluded, “This win is gratifying, but it doesn’t change my season goals. Like all the players, we compete to try and finish the season in the Top 5 to head to the HotelPlanner Tour. This win definitely helps me earn more points, and I’m very happy.”
In a three-way tie for second place at 11-under-par were Spain’s Ruben Pardo Rodríguez and Javier Calles Roman, alongside Ireland’s Ronan Mullarney.
The highlight of the day came from Spain’s Manuel Ballesteros, who recorded a spectacular hole-in-one on the 174-meter, par-3 second hole using an 8-iron.
Following the 2025 Aravell Golf Andorra Open by Creand, the eleventh event of the season, Italy’s Jacopo Vecchi Fossa continues to lead the Order of Merit with 20,631.38 points. Spain’s Javier Calles Roman now moves into second place with 18,653.91 points, just ahead of fellow Spaniard and two-time winner this season, Alvaro Hernandez Cabezuela, who sits in third place with 18,425.63 points.
This week’s champion, Jerry Ji of the Netherlands, made a significant leap in the Order of Merit standings, climbing 16 positions to reach 10th place with a total of 12,248.10 points.
